Carmel, a first grade college for women under the University of Calicut, stands nestled in an idyllic locale in a small town called Mala near the southern tip of Thrissur district, the cultural capital of Kerala. This college, which began in the year 1981, is run by the Sisters of the Congregation of Mother of Carmel who, guided by their founders Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara and Rev. Fr. Leopold Boccaro, have taken up the apostolate of education.
The Management adopts a proactive approach providing infrastructural facilities and learning resources that are periodically enhanced and up-graded in order to ensure the smooth execution of the academic and administrative process. Consistent support and ample platforms are extended to students who aspire to excel in academics, sports and arts.
