Carmel College is the fruit of the farsighted vision of its Founder, Sr. Aurea, who aspired to bring about visible changes in society by educating and empowering young rural women. Over its years of growth, the institution has, in the hands of various administrators, witnessed time-bound and relevant reformations in its policies and procedures.

The very ambience of this eco-friendly, well-built campus resonates with the vision and mission of the institution. The institution foregrounds facilitating resources and amenities of all forms to ensure a congenial learning, research and recreational space for students and teachers and true to this intent, timely maintenance, augmentation and renovation of infrastructure, IT/ICT and other facilities have been implemented. Along with accommodating the growing demands of the student community, the institution also believes in extending its facilities to the outside community, NGOs, local bodies, SDE, neighbouring institutions and schools, in the form of library services, sports infrastructure, examination centres, centralized camp valuation centres, Carmel Extension Centre for Women, Carmel Computer Academy and the like.
