Community college division in Carmel College was started on October 2015.The Community College model, as envisaged, is to be accessible to a large number of individuals of the community, offer low cost and high quality education locally, that encompasses both skills development as well as traditional coursework, thereby providing opportunities to the learners to move directly to the employment sector or move into higher education. It provides a flexible and open education system which also caters to community-based, life-long learning needs. It has a synergistic relationship between the community, learner and the job market. Presently we conduct the courses Diploma in DTP & Printing Technology and Banking & Tally. We have a well-equipped and State-of-the-art Training facility at our Lab. We focus our attention on the Practical and Industrial side of the course Conducted. Besides we have live projects and training from our industry partners as well as Guest Faculties. Our Current Industrial training Partners are Divine Printers-Chalakudy, All saints press-Irinjalakuda and Rosary Press -Chalakudy.
We envision a world in which all underprivileged people, regardless of race, ethnicity, income level or social status, are nurtured and empowered to reach their fullest potential through sustained help in training and learning new developments in the emerging Technologies
