1.     The Department of Chemistry, Carmel College, Mala, conducted a “National Seminar on Biomedical Polymers and Technology - An Ecofriendly Approach” on 14th January 2020. The seminar was inaugurated by Dr. Anitha C Kumar, HOD & Associate Professor, Acharya Nagarjuna University, Andhra Pradesh followed by a talk on “Polymeric Systems for Biomedical Applications”. The seminar was presided by Dr.Sr.Lizy C.I, Principal, Carmel College, Mala and the department felicitated the Principal who is retiring this year. Remaining sessions were handled by Dr. Titto Varghese Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, Christ College, Irinjallakuda  on the topic “Natural Products” and  Dr. Jenish Paul  HOD & Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, UC College,  Aluva on the topic “-  Introduction to Computational Chemistry –  Ab initio Method”.  Head of the department Dr.Princy K.G welcomed the gathering and convener Dr. Vidya Francis proposed the vote of thanks.
