The department of Physics was established in the year 1981. In 1999 a UG course in Applied Physics commenced in a language reduced pattern, wherein instead of language papers, students are given an opportunity to learn advanced application-level Physics. The department aims to work as a catalyst in the acquisition of Scientific and experimental skills of the students. By encouraging the students to increase their solving capacity, we pave the way for the development of a research aptitude and there by contribute to the developmental process of neighborhood and the country
