HISTORY

The department of chemistry started functioning with the very inception of the college and has the history of 40 years so far. It began teaching Chemistry classes for Pre-Degree course, and was established in 1995 with the commencement of B.Sc. Chemistry. The Chemistry Lab was extended with a Computer Lab in 2012, when the UGC-Career oriented course in “Health Care and Waste Management” was started. The department was upgraded with MSc degree course in 2015. The department provides a well equipped laboratory to cater the requirements of both UG and PG students.
